Comparison of Different Versions

The differences of various PSIM versions are as follows. The Professional Version has the full functionality and has no size limitation. Two types of the Professional Version are available: Stand-alone Version and Network Version. The difference is that the Stand-alone Version runs on individual computers, whereas the Network Version allows multiple users to access and run the software simultaneously over a network.

The Standard Version has the same functionality as the Professional Version, with the following exceptions:

The number of elements in the circuit is limited to 60.

The C Script block, Power Modeling Block, Embedded Software Block, and General DLL blocks are not available.

The Thermal Module, MagCoupler Module, and MagCoupler-RT Module are not available.

This version is for those who are not full-time students. It is available in the stand-alone version only.

The Student Version has the same functionality as the Standard Version, with the exception that the SimCoupler Module is not available. The Student Version is for full-time students only. The Student Version does not need a key, but it needs to be activated through the internet after the installation. After the software is activated, there is no time limit on the software (the software can run forever as long as it remains activated) and the internet connection is no longer needed. The activation service is provided for 36 months from the time of purchase (after 36 months, you will still be able to run the software as long as it is already activated).

Please note that the Standard Version and Student Version may not be available in your region. Please check your local distributor for the availability.

The Demo Version is free. It has the full functionality, with the exception that the subcircuit and library editing functions are disabled. The total element size is limited to 34. In addition, there are further limits on individual elements. The Demo Version is unrestricted and can be freely copied and distributed.
